JPRS Significantly Shortens Processing Time for JP DNS Updates
- JP Domain Name Will be Usable within about 15 Minutes after Registration -
JPRS announced in its press release of 20 February that, as of 3 April 2006, it would raise the frequency of JP DNS updates, from once a day to once every fifteen mitutes(*). Along with this service improvement, JP domain name will be usable on the Internet in about fifteen minutes after the registration is complete at the registry.
ISPs and web-hosting service providers will be able to upgrade their services in line with this reduction of processing hours in JP DNS, which leads to satisfaction of rising demand among businesses and individuals for launching their corporate campaigns or personal blogs with registered domain name in a timely manner.
(*) Note: For operational reasons, we are setting a time period between 3 AM and 5 AM every morning as out-of-service hours, during which no JP DNS update is conducted.
