JPRS submitted input with world technical community to the Elements Paper for the WSIS+20 overall review by the United Nations General Assembly

On 18 July 2025, JPRS, together with members of the global technical community (TCCM[*1]), submitted a written input to the Elements Paper for the WSIS+20 overall review[*2] convened by the United Nations.

In the submission, explicit recognition is given to the achievements of the WSIS process, including the growth of Internet connectivity, progress in multilingualism, and the development of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), as a result of cooperation and collaboration among all stakeholders. Especially emphasized is the need to strengthen multistakeholder approaches and ensure inclusive participation, particularly from the Global South / Global Majority. Emphasis is given to the claim that the permanent mandate and enhanced role of the IGF are essential for realizing the WSIS vision.
