As announced in February, JPRS implemented shortening of processing time for JP DNS updates from April 3, 2006.
This change raised the frequency of JP DNS updates, from once a day to once every fifteen mitutes(*). Along with this service improvement, JP domain name will be usable on the Internet in about fifteen minutes after the registration is complete at the registry.
(*) Note: For operational reasons, we are setting a time period between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM every morning as out-of-service hours, during which no JP DNS update is conducted.
